Jesus is Love

[16] So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

 

Jesus said that He is love, therefor the definition of love is Jesus. Let’s rest in the love of Christ knowing that He loves us unconditionally. We must also demonstrate the same love that Jesus is showing us.

 

1 John 3:1 ESV‬

[1] See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

 

To know Jesus is to know love, those who does’nt have Jesus does’nt know true love.

 

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭12‬-‭14‬ ‭ESV

 

Love is a commandment that comes with a promise therefor it’s a must to love one another as Christ loves the church.

1 John 4:8, 11-12 (NIV):

8. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

11. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

12. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

 

Jesus is love therefor if you want to really know God, have Jesus and people will see the love of God in you.

 

Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV‬

[4] Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant [5] or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; [6] it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. [7] Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. [8] Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

 

These are the characteristics of love.

‭Romans 8:38-39 NIV‬

[38] For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, [39] neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

 

You must know for sure that you are loved and nothing can separate you from the love of God, you are loved by Jesus. You may feel unloved in your home, work or society but remember that Jesus loves you. He loves you as you are. He died for your sins and sacrificed His life for you to have an ever lasting life.

Sweet Jesus, your love is so sweet, thank you for loving me unconditionally and for teaching me how to love. You are full of love, compassionate, caring, loving and I love you Lord, please help me to love where it’s hard for me to love, in Jesus name.
